At the Yucca Building
The large overhangs were built on the slave quarters to protect the brick from the sun therefore it will be cooler
The upstairs door (above our heads) doesn't have a staircase up to it, because taxes were much higher with a staircase. They used a ladder instead.
The door behind Herman is the same door we saw earlier. We are upstairs for more tour info
The paintings on the wall are from Clementine Hunter.

Clementine Hunter
Cammie Henry owned the Plantation at one time and she brought culture to the area by hosting many artists (click to enlarge), sometimes for years
The tour guide is demonstrating the paddle that is used for leveling the mattress. And, if that didn't work, he has his left hand on a roller that hung above the bed that would do the job.
