Ride 2006/2007

December 25, 2006
Ok, we're off and running. Dick and I departed Carl's Corner in Hillsboro, TX at 3 pm today on our way south. While I was waiting on Dick, I thought I would take a quick snapshot of myself. The wind was blowing so hard the tripod fell over and nose-dived my camera to the hard pavement. It went to pieces, but I got one shot captured before the crash. Joy said we purchased the insurance on the camera so the loss will be minimal. I hope that's the worst thing that happens? We're in George West, TX for the night and it's hard to find a restaurant open on Christmas night. The temps were in the low 50's for most of the trip which isn't too bad, however the wind was very aggravating. Tomorrow will be better.

This photo was taken just before my camera took a nosedive at Willie Nelson's new fuel stop here at Carl's corner
