Lake Garda to the Alps (Dolomites)

Saturday is a very hectic day in the Lakes area as well as the Dolomites. We had to wrestle traffic most of the morning. In many cases, it was a benefit because we had to keep our speed low and allowed scenic viewing. There is "plenty" of that. It is as good as everyone describes it (all of it). Fun Stuff.

No shortage of tunnels in the mountain region either.

Stopping for lunch. It is very hard for us to recognize anything on the menu. Cleanest restrooms around. The language has changed again.
Climbing the mountain
The design of the buildings has changed too. (we're still in Italy, but it doesn't feel like it.)
Still climbing
Now we are at the top of the mountain.
Enjoying the thin air.
Steve is riding down the mountain to our hotel
Quaint little ski town for the night (Arabba)
Looking out of the Hotel across town and the valley.
Looking to the left down the road.
Another view of the town and surrounding area.
As the evening gets later, the parking lot fills up. Even Armando (on the left) has decided to come in for the day.
